ANALYSIS: STEP 3

For step 3 of our analysis we focused on some of the post production methods we could use to create some interesting atmospheres. A post production method we could use would be flash backs and the idea of a time lapse with some lighting effect. We would like to control the audience reactions by using some more of the obscure shots. The main emotion we want the audience to feel is fear. We want to break away from some of the conventions of horror such as the killer wearing black or introduce a twist  in the ending. We would also like the killer to wear something plain such as jeans, a t-shirt and possibly maybe a bomber jacket as well. We would also like our piece set in the night time, which will blend with what the killer is wearing to increase fear in the audience. The killer will be introduced with a POV shot which conceals the audience and they are also forced to watch his actions, for example; standing over the girl as she struggles. We hope to create a creepy atmosphere for the audience using these factors.
